Measure 4 quarts
If you had an infinite supply of water and a 5 quart and 3 quart pail, how would you measure exactly 4 quarts?

a)Pour 5 q in the 5-pail, empty it in the 3-pail.
b)Throw out the water in the 3-pail and pour the two q remaining in the 5-pail into the 3-pail.
c)Fill 5 q again the 5 pail.
d)Pour water to fill the remaining part of the 3-pail => this amounts to 1 q
e)This leaves 4 q in the 5-pail.
